Therapists
Amy Jo Taormina P.T., Cert. MDT
“I believe in empowering patients with the knowledge and skills to improve their overall healing and wellbeing. I utilize my education combined with skilled physical therapy care as a successful combination to achieve patients' goals.
My professional background is extensive; I've worked in occupational health clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation hospitals, and aquatic therapy settings.
I'm a strong advocate for continuing education, which has prompted me to attain a certification in the prestigious, McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy in 2009.
The McKenzie Method is practiced worldwide and has established itself as one of the most effective treatment approaches for neck and back conditions.
On a personal note, I am well aware of the aches and pains that are associated with sports injuries; I use this experience to build patient trust and confidence because I understand the physical and emotional aspects of pain. I've completed numerous races including marathons, triathlons, and road and mountain biking events. My most memorable achievements include completing Ironman Arizona in 2006 and 2008; this includes a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, and 26.2-mile run. ”
